Zanu-PF Manicaland restructures ahead of Grace Mugabe rally

The Zanu-PF restructuring exercise is reported to be progressing smoothly in Manicaland, with the provincial leadership anticipating to complete the process by the end of this month.

This was revealed during a special Provincial Coordination Committee meeting held in Mutare.

The Zanu PF Manicaland provincial leadership is confident the restructuring exercise will be completed within the set target in the province's eight political districts.

Some challenges have however been encountered in Makoni and Chimanimani districts, according to the acting provincial chairman, Dr Samuel Undenge, who implored the political leadership not to impose the leaders on the people.

Politburo member, Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, concedes election fever has gripped the province but notes the need for the leadership to focus on delivering economic prosperity and improve people's quality of life.

Most districts have completed the restructuring of cells and branches and are now awaiting the district elections.

The restructuring exercise in Manicaland province is being supervised by Politburo member, Dr Sydney Sekeramayi and a number of verification teams drawn from other provinces.
