MDC, ZAPU sink into oblivion?

The Welshman Ncube led MDC and Dumiso Dabengwa's ZAPU have slowly sunk into political oblivion as the two political parties begin to show that they are losing steam.
The two parties joined forces in an alliance during the 2013 polls with the hope of causing an upset mainly in the three Matebeleland.
The two parties were mostly visible in the three provinces, conducting multiple rallies. However it now seems that since their crashing defeat to Zanu-PF in 2013, the two parties have gone silent.
MDC has lost a number of senior party members and the internal turmoil has left the party at its weakest point ever and had the effect of paralyzing its activities on the ground.
Zapu's activities largely appear to have been curtailed by financial challenges dogging the party, which has seen it postponing its elective congress to December, from August.
Political analysts have said that the only viable option for their survival was for the two to join hands with other opposition parties.
