Chadzamira poised for Masvingo Zanu-PF chairmanship

A faction linked to VP Emmerson Mnangagwa in the Zanu-PF provincial leadership is pushing for provincial secretary for administration Ezra Chadzamira to take over as provincial chairman.

Chadzamira is angling to take over in the wake of the province passing a vote of no confidence on the acting chairman Paradzai Chakona at a provincial executive committee meeting held in October over a raft of scurrilous allegations.

There are also mounting fears the push to position Chadzamira could be a precursor to a purge of all officials linked to the G40 group.
