The Zanu-PF politburo yesterday failed to agree on several disciplinary cases under consideration as the ruling party battles to contain factionalism that has reached boiling point.

Party spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo refused to shed light on whether there were likely to be casualties. He said the meeting also touched on the impending visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping next week and the Zanu-PF conference next month.

Meanwhile, Zanu-PF national executive member in women's league Letina Undenge has alleged that she is being scandalized by rival ruling party officials not happy about her "strong" working relationship with First Lady Grace Mugabe.

Undenge, who is the deputy secretary of education in the women's league, said she never bussed people to cause commotion during a fact-finding mission in Mutare on Tuesday investigating the league's spokesperson Monica Mutsvangwa.

Instead, she alleged some rogue elements planned the fracas and hired youths and war collaborators to assault her during the fact-finding mission that has exposed deep-rooted divisions in the ruling party.
