Zanu-PF is set to retain the Mhondoro Mubaira National Assembly seat with ease after all main stream opposition parties boycotted the polls slated for March 5, leaving the little known Freedom Front to battle it out with the ruling party's candidate, George Gangarahwe.
Only the close of the nomination court sitting in Chinhoyi yesterday only two candidates had submitted their papers to contest the seat which fell vacant following the ouster of Sylvester Nguni, who accused of working with the ex-Vice President Joice Mujuru's People's First.
The Freedom Front will be represented by Rodwell Nyanganya.
