Zanu-PF MP, party youths at loggerheads

Some Zanu-PF youths in Goromonzi West have accused their MP, Beatrice Nyamupinga, of plotting to have them axed on allegations of working in harmony with a local opposition MDC-T councillor.

The ruling party youths claimed Nyamupinga was victimizing any Zanu-PF member suspected of co-operating with MDC-T's ward 4 councillor, Clifford Nhamburo, in various developmental projects including distribution of food handouts.

But Nyamupinga yesterday dismissed the allegations and accused the youths of spreading falsehoods to tarnish her political image. But the youths, who declined to be named for fear of victimization, insisted Nyamupinga wanted them kicked out of Zanu-PF.
