Chegutu West MP Dexter Nduna (Zanu-PF) has filed opposing papers, seeking to block Pickstone Peerless Gold Mine's efforts to bar him from entering its premises.

This was after the mine's proprietors, Breckrigdge Investments (Pvt) Ltd, filed for a peace order against Nduna, accusing him of interfering with operations by inciting panners to illegally carry out mining activities at the mine.

Filed under case number BO04/16, Nduna is alleged to have held a rally with illegal gold miners on May 14 last year and incited them to invade the mine.

In his opposition to the peace order, Nduna said as the local legislator he had the right to meet with his constituents anywhere and at any time.
