War Veterans Chairman, Christopher Mutsvangwa says Zanu-PF and the country are under threat from some individuals within the party.
Mutsvangwa was speaking at a war veterans meeting which was held at Gweru Civic Centre yesterday.
He said discipline and respect are the attributes that have made Zanu-PF lead a country that is stable, peaceful and cohesive and an envy of many on the continent.
"The same discipline and unity brought the country's independence. It is however sad to note that there are some individuals who have infiltrated the party and are targeting destroying it from within by settling personal scores with the country's leadership and the security establishment," said Mutsvangwa.
Mutsvangwa told war veterans that freedom fighters have to maintain the same discipline, respect and unity than helped win the liberation struggle.
War Veterans Secretary General, Victor Matemadanda reaffirmed the association's support for President Robert Mugabe and vowed that freedom fighters will not leave Zanu-PF due to individuals who are plotting to destabilise the party for personal gain.
Meanwhile, war veterans through the support of their patron, President Mugabe are set to benefit from opportunities in the various sectors of the economy, according to Mutsvangwa.
The war veterans company has since been registered and approved by cabinet and they are now focusing on luring investors and mobilising resources to kick-start their income generating projects.
