The Zanu PF Mashonaland East Provincial council has suspended the Chairperson of the Provincial Women's League, Apolonia Munzverengwi and two members from the main wing for allegedly barring members from attending a rally held at the Zanu PF headquarters on Wednesday last week.
The two others suspended are Tendai Mangwiro (Provincial Secretary for Security) and Hebert Shumbamhini (Provincial Political Commissar).
A seven member board of inquiry led by Provincial Secretary for Administration, Lawrence Katsiru has been set up to investigate the three.
The suspensions follow the recent booting out of the Provincial Chairman, Joel Biggie Matiza.
Acting Provincial Chairperson, Benard Makokova told the members that the decision is meant to give the suspended members a chance to defend themselves.
Kastisru read out the allegations against the trio.
Mashonaland East Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Rtd Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri said discipline is key in any organisation.
