The Zanu-PF Manicaland provincial chairman Dr Samuel Undenge said the party has shifted its focus to the 2018 harmonised elections and this time around the revolutionary party will win all the legislative seats in the province.

Dr Undenge made the remarks during the preparatory meeting of the one million march in Manicaland over the weekend.

Addressing thousands of youths who converged in Mutare for the inter-district conference recently, Dr Undenge said the youths as the vanguard of the party should be very effective in defending the revolution and protecting the liberation gains.

He said due to the impressive grassroots work being carried out by the youth league in the province, there is no reason for Zanu-PF to fail to win all the legislative seats come 2018 elections.

Dr Undenge said youths should not give political space to the detractors, adding that Zanu-PF unlike other political parties is an institution which is rooted in people.

The provincial chairperson of the youth league Mbuso Chinguno said many youths in the province are yet to benefit from the land reform programme and are being sidelined by district lands officials alleging that the process of land allocation is riddled with corruption and nepotism.

Chinguno said many of the youths in the province are crying for empowerment and the CABS youth revolving fund only benefited a few.

The national youth league is busy mobilising youths for the historic one million march scheduled for May in Harare to show their unwavering solidarity to the leadership of President Robert Mugabe.
