The MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai says Zanu-PF is now a carcass in the bush that is left with bones only and will soon split into two political parties because the warring factions cannot co-exist.
Speaking to the Daily News yesterday, Bulawayo South legislator and MDC national executive member Eddie Cross said it was no longer a secret that the ruling party was "slithering into the precipice".
"I think Zanu-PF will have to make some very tough decisions now. The decision will be which of the two factions will come up on top because they cannot continue to co-exist. Co-existing between the (Emmerson) Mnangagwa faction and G40 is no longer possible. These two groups, one of them has to win and the other one has to go," Cross said.
With the country's economy in such a bad state, Cross said Mugabe could not continue as Zimbabwe's president anymore as the situation is already beyond him.
"When two bulls fight over a female they forget everything. Zanu-PF is not paying any attention to the critical issues in the country."
