Zanu-PF's Advocate Dinha to contest in by-election

Two candidates have successfully submitted their papers to the nomination court that set in Bindura this Friday for the vacant Mazowe North constituency.

Zanu-PF candidate Advocate Martin Dinha will lock horns with Mr Elias Malukula of the Renewal Democrats of Zimbabwe after the two successfully submitted their nomination papers.

The nomination court which sat at the Bindura Magistrates Court was presided over by Mashonaland Central provincial elections officer Mrs Thenjiwe Mkandla.

The by-election is set for the 23rd of July this year.

In an interview, Advocate Dinha who is also Mashonaland Central Minister of State expressed confidence of a resounding victory in the by-election.

Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central provincial chairman Dickson Mafios declared Mazowe North constituency a traditional Zanu-PF stronghold saying going for the by-election was a mere formality.

Mazowe North constituency fell vacant following the sudden death of Edgar Chidavaenzi in March this year.
