The Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Saviour Kausukuwere says there is no place for James Mushore at Harare City Council and that he must go back to the financial services sector.
Minister Kasukuwere, who is also the Zanu PF National Political Commissar, told residents of Kuwadzana that there is no place for former banker, Mushore at Town House as he is not privy to local governance issues.
The former Group CEO of NMB Bank Holdings was appointed as Harare Town Clerk by the now suspended Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni, who stands accused of not following proper procedures in Mushore's the recruitment process.
The MDC-T-led council has been defying government's directive to cancel Mushore's contract, allowing him to report for duty.
Kasukuwere however said Zanu PF is the only game in town, as it has the people of Zimbabwe at heart.
He added that some political parties have failed to deliver their promises to the people, which is the reason why some people like Jim Kunaka have defected back to Zanu PF.
Kunaka also echoed Kasukuwere's sentiments that other political parties have nothing to offer the people of Zimbabwe.
Zanu PF is trying mobilise people across the country ahead of the 2018 elections.
