President Robert Mugabe should brace for more protests against his oppressive rule, rival MDC has warned.

MDC National Spokesperson Kurauone Chihwayi said on Sunday evening that Mugabe (92) is seating on a  tight rope and has little room to move.

"Robert Mugabe is now cornered and  now facing more embarrassing protests until he steps down" said Chihwayi while reacting to arrest of activists protesting Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko's continued stay in a hotel.

"The MDC reiterates its call for Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF comedians  currently in control to step down now and give the people of this great country a chance to clean up the mess and rebuild their country.

The MDC is convinced that the people of Zimbabwe will not give Mugabe the mandate to continue with his reign of terror and destructive economic policies in 2018.

"The bells for political change are now getting louder for Robert Mugabe to prophesy the  consequences of his bad and divisive leadership style".

Chihwayi said the  arrest and intimidation of human rights activists in Zimbabwe is not only criminal but a waste of time and resources since that will not stop the people of Zimbabwe from exercising their constitutional rights.
