Coalition talks gather steam

Opposition political parties which are signatories to the National electoral reforms agenda will meet in Harare today in an endeavour to try and expedite their quest to for a grand coalition against Zanu-PF ahead of the eagerly anticipated 2018 national elections.

The country's biggest opposition party prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai of the MDC as well as the Zimbabwe People First that is led by former vice president Joyce Mujuru have both expressed their willingness to participate in a grand coalition in the polls - a prospect that has shaken President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu-PF to the core.

Luke Tamborinyoka, MDC spokesperson said that his party would be represented by in today's meeting which sources saw as a critical building block towards the formation of a grand coalition.
