Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister Senator Shuvai Mahofa is still ailing and failed to "inspect the guard of honour" on Monday.

Mahofa spent three months hospitalized in South Africa suffering from an undisclosed ailment.

She was last seen in the office before the 15th Zanu-PF Annual National People's Conference held in Victoria Falls where she reportedly went down following a stomach problem.

She resumed duties in March.

On Monday, she was the guest of honor at Masvingo Provincial Heroes' Acre celebrations.

According to the Herald, Mahofa boycotted inspecting the guard of honor.

Instead Psychomotor Activities Minister Josaya Hungwe took the responsibility.

"…Minister Hungwe then inspected the guard of honor in place of Senator Mahofa, who is still battling poor health.

"Senator Mahofa then read the Presidential speech after the crowd had been entertained by various groups. She then led others in laying wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier".
