Zanu-PF aligned clerics seek divine intervention

Church leaders reportedly sympathetic to the Zanu-PF government yesterday held a prayer session in Harare, seeking divine intervention over the political and economic crisis in Zimbabwe amid growing discontent against President Robert Mugabe's failure to turn around the country's fortunes.

The prayers run under the banner My Zimbabwe Prayer Campaign were bankrolled by the Tourism and Hospitality Industry & Tourism. Minister Walter Mzembi could not be reached for comment yesterday.
