Zanu-PF throws new lease of life to Elias Musakwa

Zanu PF has thrown a new lease of life to Bikita West parliamentary aspirant Elias Musakwa, who had previously been disqualified to contest the forthcoming by-election over his alleged links to former Vice-President Joice Mujuru's opposition Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) party.

Party commissar Saviour Kasukuwere yesterday said Musakwa had been included among eight Zanu PF candidates to contest in the primary elections set for Saturday where the winner will represent the ruling party in the by-election.

The Bikita West seat fell vacant last month after Munyaradzi Kereke was recalled from Parliament following his 10-year incarceration for rape.
