Mnangagwa allies' defy Mugabe

Embattled Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa's allies in Masvingo province last week defied president Robert Mugabe's call for unity insisting they will not work with the generation 40 linked women's league provincial chairperson veronica Makonese.

Mugabe had tasted Zanu-PF national political commissar saviour Kasukuwere, to heal the rift in the ruling party's Masvingo provincial executive, but it was a mission impossible.

Zanu-PF Masvingo province chairperson, Amasa Nenjana - who was forced to abort the meeting prematurely after women aligned to Mnangagwa stated exchanging words with rivals-confirmed the latest developments.
