Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, who is in China's Fujian Province for the Asian country's International Fair for Investment and Trade, has met with Communist Party of China (CPC) officials.

Mphoko told the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee officials that Zimbabwe is ready to do business with China.

The Vice President conceded that the biggest lesson learnt from China is the country's transparency and Zimbabwe will also have to be stern on corruption if it is to make a significant impact on its economic growth targets.

The CPC Secretary, Mr You Quan said his country will not waver in its bid to continue investing in Zimbabwe, while paying tribute to President Robert Mugabe and his Chinese counterpart, Mr Xi Jinping for consolidating economic and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Vice President Mphoko is leading a delegation to China to attend the China International Fair for Investment and Trade which will officially open this Thursday in the City of Xiamen in Fujian Province.
