A political analyst Pedzisai Ruhanya has insinuated that Zimbabwe is far from attaining constitutional democracy and those who think it is must be mentally examined.

"Anyone who says Zimbabwe is a constitutional democracy should have their heads examined for possible psychotic disorders (severe mental disorders that cause abnormal thinking and perceptions," Ruhanya said.

"People with psychoses lose touch with reality. Two of the main symptoms are delusions and hallucinations)."

He said the latest regime or government of police ban on protests is clearly a declaration of a state of emergency against the exercise of constitutionally protected civil and political liberties by a rogue and competitive authoritarian regime.

"Zanu PF is diverting the opposition by locating the theater of the struggle against its misrule in the courts that it can arm twist. A bogus ruling is on way soon," he said.

"The moment they get that bogus court ruling in their favor, they will say the opposition should respect the rule of law. The tactics must therefore change until the regime respects law and order in terms of the constitution."
