6 Zanu PF accident victims buried

Zanu-PF National Political Commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere said the party will continue to avail opportunities and empower youths.

Kasukuwere said this during a funeral parade and burial of six Zanu PF youths who were killed in a road accident on Sunday in Checheche Chipinge and where conferred district heroes status.

Thousands of people, government officials and senior Zanu PF party officials gathered for an emotional send off of the six Zanu PF district officials who died in a road accident and were conferred with district heroes status.

Legislator for Chipinge South, Enock Porusingazi and family representatives saluted the dedication and commitment that the six party cadres gave to the party.

Kasukuwere said the party will continue to open up empowerment opportunities for the youths as promised in the party's manifesto and called for a unity of purpose by all in Chipinge district.

Zanu PF National Secretary For Youth Affairs, Kudzi Chipanga said the youth league is saddened by the sudden departure of the six cadres adding that it is a great loss not only to the families but to the nation and party as a whole.

Zanu PF Central Committee member, Mandi Chimene implored the party leadership to draw lessons from the six youths who died whilst on party business, with war veterans elder Joseph Chinotimba describing the incident as a darkest chapter in the history of Chipinge.

The six Zanu PF district youth executive members were involved in an accident on Sunday on their way from the Chipinge Youth Village Programme where youths from the district were given 376 hectares of land for their residential stands.
