Jonathan Moyo tells Mugabe off

Under fire Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo's propensity of rushing to file lawsuits against rivals has engaged President Robert Mugabe.

Recently, Moyo indicated that he will sue Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Information minister Christopher Mushohwe, presidential spokesperson George Charamba, Zimpapers and several editors over Zimdef fraud saga.

During Zanu PF's Wednesday politburo session, Mugabe reportedly ordered Moyo to drop his litigation.

Instead he should use internal Zanu PF structures to resolve his issues, Mugabe said.

However, Moyo would have non of it vowing to soilder ahead with the court cases.

"Moyo reportedly said he was of the view that only litigation would stop Team Lacoste from their alleged campaign against him.

"He reportedly said he would go ahead until his political adversaries appreciated that he too was a Zanu PF member who deserved respect" a private run publication said.

Moyo is accused of defrauding ZIMDEF - a department in his ministry of close to $400 000.

Charges levelled against the Zanu PF politburo member include claims that he used ZIMDEF funds to acquire motorbikes and bicycles for the traditional leaders in his constituency.
