MDC Mat South elects new office bearers

The Matabeleland South Provincial Council met this morning and elected new office bearers to fill the following vacancies in the provincial executive;
The provincial council expressed dismay at the malicious media reports around the election of the Secretary General of the party, Priscila Misihairabwi-Mushonga to represent the party in parliament on a Matabeleland South proportional representation ticket.
The council noted that the persons who have spoken to the media over this issue have never been authorised by the provincial executive to make the statements that have been attributed to it and condemned those statements.
The council fully endorsed and supports the election of the Secretary General and expressed full confidence in the national leadership which approved the list of the province's candidates.
The council also directed that in future all statements regarding major party policy issues in the province will be issued to the media by the Secretary for Information and Chairperson of the province.

- Chairman - Pilate Ndebele
- Deputy Organising Secretary - Sibekithemba Njani
- Secretary for Political Education and Training - Robert Ndlovu
