Former MDC Bulilima East MP declare his candidature for the seat as independent

Former MDC legislator for Bulilima East Norman Mpofu has declared that he will this time constest for the seat as an independent candidate after his fall out with the main opposition party.
"My fellow friends and Bulilima East electorate I wish to put it on record that I Norman Mpofu will contest the 2018 elections as an INDEPENDENT candidate in Bulilima East. The rumour ends here and now. Its true I am in," he said.
"My team is already on the ground preparing for the nomination day. I wish Bulilima East and the nation as a whole a peaceful election season and I appeal to my fellow contestant to give the electorate an opportunity to elect their best representatives at all levels by desisting from violence and other bad ways of campaigning."
