MDC Binga candidate attacked

An MDC council candidate in Binga was seriously injured after he was attacked by suspected Zanu-PF supporters on Friday, the party said yesterday.
Aaron Sibanda, representing the party in ward 25, was allegedly attacked at Lubanda business centre under unclear circumstances,
"Our council candidate for ward 25 in Binga was attacked on Friday," MDC spokesperson Nhlanhla Dube said.
"He was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to a clinic where he had stitches on the head and above the eye."
He said Sibanda had since been discharged from the clinic.
