Zanu-PF takes control of Gwanda municipality - official

Results posted outside polling stations indicate that Zanu-PF has gained control of Gwanda municipality previously dominated by the MDC.
Zanu-PF won in seven out of 10 wards while the MDC-T won in two and the MDC in one.
All former MDC councillors including suspended Mayor, Lionel Denecker were booted out.
In the Beitbridge urban council, Zanu-PF reclaimed four of the six wards leaving MDC-T and MDC with one ward each.
In Plumtree, where the urban wards fall under Bulilima East constituency, Zanu-PF has won in three wards and the MDC-T in the remaining three.
