The Zanu-PF Manicaland Youth League has urged the party to come up with strong measures that decisively address factionalism.
The youths said attempts by some party cadres to settle personal scores through the media are forms of indiscipline which the party should decisively deal with.
The Youth League Deputy Provincial Chairperson, Mbuso Chinguno said the wing condemned what he called the 'cold war' in the party and called on the party to instead come up with strategies to completely silence opposition parties.
"It is regrettable to note that some party cadres are using cheap politics of attacking fellow senior party and government officials in an attempt to land higher political offices," he said.
Acting Secretary for Administration, Kudzi Madhara said party members should resolve their differences amicably not through the media.
"The Youth League castigates strongly all forms of factionalism and as an executive, we rally behind President Robert Mugabe and the First Lady, Amai Grace Mugabe and other members of the presidium," he said.
At the same meeting, the Manicaland Youth League unanimously agreed that leaders should devote their attention to fulfill the election promises and advance the revolutionary ideals.
Meanwhile Zanu-PF supporters in Matabeleland South Province have been urged to be wary of individuals fanning divisions within the party ahead of the elective congress set for December.
Speaking at the party's first anniversary election victory celebrations, Gwanda South legislator, who is also the Minister of State for Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs, Abednico Ncube said supporters must guard against unruly elements who employ dirty tactics such as vote buying and smear campaigning for positions.
On issues to do with development, the local councillors called for the improvement of infrastructure in schools to improve the learning of science subjects.
The celebrations that were held at Mlambapheli Primary School are part of ongoing festivities in the constituency to mark the party's 31 July resounding election victory.
Zanu-PF won all the 13 constituency seats in Matabeleland South Province.
