Politburo member Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu finally assumed a Central Committee position after the Zanu-PF Matabeleland South provincial executive council nullified the Insiza district election that was allegedly characterised by vote buying.
Ndlovu and Patrick Hove were chosen to replace Jeremiah Langa and Jabulani Phetshu Sibanda who are accused together with ousted provincial chairman Andrew Langa of vote buying.
Another Politburo member, who is also the Minister of Home Affairs, Kembo Mohadi said cleansing the party of unruly elements is an ongoing process.
Acting provincial chairman Rabelani Choeni called for peace and unity ahead of the national people's congress.
The province has so far raised $33 000 with the bulk of the money coming from Beitbridge district.
The province also endorsed Robert Mugabe's candidature as the First Secretary of the party and Presidential candidate for 2018 and backed the nomination of Dr Grace Mugabe for the position of the Women's League secretary.
