Zanu PF MPs hackled Zimbabwean Finance Minister Tendai Biti in Victoria Falls at a pre-budget seminar accusing him of telling blatant lies about the state of agricultural funding throughout the world.

Biti told parliamentarians that there was no country in the world that was funding the agriculture sector.

Presenting a paper titled, "Macro-Economic Framework for 2012 National Budget; Challenges and Opportunities," Zvimba East MP Patrick Zhuwao led Zanu-PF legislators and accused Minister Biti of "telling blatant lies."

Zhuwawo then walked out of the tent.

Biti has been at loggerheads with farmers and war veterans who are accusing him sabotaging the sector.

Biti said Zimbabwe is the only country that was funding the agriculture sector.

He said the move costs the Government millions of dollars.

Biti called for a land audit to identify true farmers arguing that most of the officials who benefited from land redistribution were just but cellphone farmers.

Zhuwawo immediately stood up humming and in the process he was verbally slated by MDC T officials.

More and more Zanu Pf MP interjected and accused Biti of peddling lies and also sabotaging farmers.

He however, hurled back saying he cannot sit down and be lied to.

"I cannot just sit there and be lied to, that is not the reason I came all the way from my
constituency for. This is a waste of time and energy for the legislators."

Zanu-PF legislators complained arguing that they were guarding jealously the successful agrarian reform while MDC-T legislators attacked it.

There was mini drama when Zhuwao Bulawayo North MP Tabitha Khumalo in hot pursuit.

The two then exchange some words for about four minutes while Minister Biti proceeded with his presentation as order had been finally restored. Staff reporter
