Unpacking Grace Mugabe's Super Sunday Rally

06 Nov 2017 at 06:34hrs | Views
I have said this before and I will say it until I die. Zimbabweans must learn to ask very basic questions when faced with what appears to be complicated matters. The November 15, 2017 super Sunday rally by Grace Mugabe was not a mere coincidence. For the past three weeks, Mugabe has summoned traditional leaders from across the country to try and get a spiritual direction for the country.

There has been weeks of bira but svikiro rakaramba kusutsa. This frustrated Mugabe who hoped he could use his power to influence the spiritual side of things. Instead he turned to the church side of things to try and exorcise his demons.

What Mugabe forgets however is that chinhu ichi chine vene. I for one am not stupid and do not have amnesia yet. I was also here in 1980 so it is sickening to listen to the mentally drenched Grace talk about Mnangagwa trying a coup on Mugabe since 1980; that is sickening.

At Grace's Masvingo meet the people rally, that I attended, she specifically told us that she was a good friend of Mnangagwa; their friendship started before she was even married to Mugabe and they used to exchange tomatoes and potatoes; yet today Mnangawa is her enemy number one. All one need in Zimbabwe to get to the bottom of all these stupid machinations is to give Grace a mic and read the herald. Everything one needs to know is in plain sight through these two mediums, Grace and the Herald.

The leaders of this country were warned many times about the six things that Mbuya Nehanda said should be done once the liberation struggle was over.  It is in the Sunday Mail and I will refer to Mbuya Nehanda's chilling six commandments here. All it takes is time to go through the article and then have an understanding of how stubborn this dictator, Robert Mugabe is; and how easy it is to fix the problems bedeviling our country. Performing bira at Manzou will not cut it; assembling churches to chastise Mnangagwa will not cut it; it takes sane people to do what needs to be done. It is there for all to see.
