If each Gukurahundi victim were paid $167 they would be happier

There are about 200 Thousand people in Zimbabwe living with an impeding Gukurahundi residual effect today. If we, as a responsible country, paid them the little we can afford, we could undo most of future our problems.

Denial of Gukurahundi is the worst disease we scrooge ourselves with, and yet a compensative admission would unite our Nation. With 200 000 people genuinely in need of this compensation, a payment of $400 800 000 cannot be too burdensome for our country in year 2018. It would help victims start micro-projects which would also help alleviate National poverty at grassroot levels. Each recipient would be paid $167 for the entire year in 2018.

There is no logic in paying former President Mugabe $10 Million bonus, while his legacy causes perpetual feelings of unworthiness to the victims of Gukurahundi.

Money paid to Zimbabweans is money invested in Zimbabwe. Gukurahundi victims would not invest in buying houses in Malaysia and mansions in South Africa. They would buy cattle, invest in their gardens and start chicken projects to advance our food security.

President Mnangagwa MUST consider this as a responsible way of planting confidence within our traumatised countrymen.
