Voice of the real liberation war hero

13 Apr 2018 at 14:24hrs | Views
Whenever he see me, he want to get into a political debate. People who see us together get shocked and wonder what exactly are we talking about. They know me as a hard core MDC Member, to the extent that others used to call me Tsvangirai while he was still alive. Now they are calling me Nelson Chamisa.

It's not only here where they called me so. Last week I went to a funeral in my rural area. I met with people I last saw 10-15 years back. They no longer call me Fanuel but MDC.

Back to this old man who want to talk politics with me, he is a War Veteran and known for supporting ZANU PF, very influential and some people are afraid of him. When I see him he is my father and liberator from the government of Ian Smith. I respect and always salute him for his contribution in the liberation struggle.

Today he started by asking, "kurisei and zvakamira sei mazuvano?" I told him Chamisa is unstoppable now. I also told him of tomorrow's rally in Manicaland.

I give him the flow and  was shocked to hear this from him. "I went to Mutasa for a funeral, everyone is saying Chamisa is the deal.

"Young and old, poor and rich are saying we will vote for Chamisa.

"I went at a growth point and hear people talking politics, I listened and it was only Chamisa. I asked them to give Mnangagwa another chance and I was about to be beaten. If everyone is for Chamisa why not me also.

"You know what is speculating in our war veteran offices; they are saying all war veterans who are serving members in the army will loose their work after election. They are also saying our salaries will be stopped if Chamisa wins.

"We all know now that they are lying, they used to lie to us every time we go for election that MDC does not want War Veterans.

"But, we have seen Chamisa defending and fighting for us in the Parliament. That young man is the man. He loves us, and surely our country will improve.

"Do you remember when Roy Bennett was arrested?  He saw that people in prison are not treated well and are living under very hard conditions. When he was released he bought blankets. Now people are not treated the say way they were treated when there was no opposition like MDC. People used to stay for two weeks while in police cells. It was painful.

" Politics is not about personal gains but for our country and children. The problem which Mugabe left is that he empowered very few people who have influential positions like the Generals. Look every company, it has a General and those Generals because they have everything, they will not listen to others when crying", narrated the liberation heroe.

After the war veteran has narrated all the above constructive and eye opening events, i was in a shock for a little while and was about to shed tears.

Now I am certain that Chamisa gas everyone's Vote.

Register to vote and Vote Wisely.
