Zanu-PF primaries marred with violence, irregularities and candidate imposition

As the country gets into an election mode. The revolutionary party conducted it's primary elections which were marred by irregularities

The revolutionary party Zanu PF held it's primary elections to elect their best candidates to stand for the plebscite 2018 harmonised election scheduled for August.
The party has recently held what most analysts say was a farce and flagrant primary election where it was marred with violence,  rigging and vote buying.

According to some sources there where some undeserving candidates who have emerged winners.

The cry is not about some other bona fide members but the beautiful party and it's revolutionary ethos GUTSARUZVHINJI.

The voting irregularities did not occur only in one constituency but around constituencies or a few but rather the majority of constituencies and this has posed an unhealthy situation where it will affect the voting pattern when it comes to national harmonised elections on the overall. From the general reports which were gathered from some constituencies the primaries were marred with skirmishes of violence , intimidation, vote buying,  irregularities and rigging.

A Zanu PF aspiring candidate bemoaned the collapse of the rulling party which has drifted from its revolutionary ethos of _gutsaruzhinji_ socialism. The elections were not free and fair though in some constituencies the best person won. The electorate is not going to sleep on its laurels and will not take this revolutionary party serious by giving it another mandate to rule.

There is real disgruntlement amongst its own staunch supporters and literally they have been shattered or devastated by such kind of behaviour. Elections are just around the corner and the opposition will have to take advantage of the confusion and disintergration within the party and must ride on them. Voters will treat them harshly if such important issues are not addressed.

Zanu PF is at its greatest risk come general elections. The people have been pushed to the limit and they will not forgive easily or without squaring it off.

It is so worrying that Zanu PF is much obsessed with winning elections than solving challenges affecting the country.  People are now seeking political posts and positions for self worth than a national cause. There is a serious deviation from the principles and values of the party founded in 1963  and perhaps a new definition of the extent of social corruption has found a breeding niche in the revolutionary party.

Yes this has not been in the ruling party only but has also extended its tentacles to the opposition where leaders jostle for top positions the likes of Thokozani Khupe and Obert Gutu of MDC-T.

Zanu PF is likely to suffer another _bhora musango_ scenario where voters will kick out the prefered and chosen ones in a fix.  Zanu PF rigs into power and it is in their supporters and leadership DNA.  The revolutionary party has witnessed big wigs like Chris Mutsvangwa, Keith Guzha and Chris Mushowe falling by the wayside. Some Zanu PF apologists blamed the  infiltration of the G40 cabal within the party saying they were the ones causing some problems. Others reiterated that this is a hidden continuation of internal factions within the party.

We are in a transition where people have been quiet for a long time and are voting for candidates of their choice. During Mugabe's era he refused to acknowledge that there were factions within Zanu PF but the manifestation of factionalism is now written on the wall for everybody to see. Surely  Zanu PF is now heading for harsh turbulent wars.
It is at its crumpling stage and if they fail to reconcile peacefully soon or later it will be history unless they continue to use force and violence to hold on to power.

Democracy in the party is now a far fetched dream. Will Zanu PF has the best chance to become stronger than ever before? The Robert Mugabe ejection was the beginning of a new era in Zimbabwe politics. If Zanu PF can rig it's own election , what about the national election? This is a wake up call for the opposition not to sleep with both eyes closed as the election can be snatched right under their nose.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is going to face a very divided revolutionary party where members are pulling from different directions. This rigging chaotic primary election has recorded the lowest turnout since independence.

There was rampant candidate imposition in these primary elections and pulling a trigger to outright win the election will be a mamoth task. I don't see Zanu PF winning resoundingly in these harmonised elections?

Almost all disgruntled aspirings candidates will gang up and definitely vote for the President and then will seek revenge against most primaries parliamentarians  winners who have already proven to be selfish and shameless power ursuping politicians. The primary elections have also exposed how Zanu PF has sustained the corrupt system for years.
