Chebundo departure is good riddance

IN response to MDC bigwigs Chebundo, Timveos defect to Zanu-PF: I am really surprised that former Kwekwe Central MP Blessing Chebundo, of all the people, has decided to join the ruling Zanu-PF party.
Growing up in Kwekwe, I witnessed how the Zanu-PF militia harassed this guy in the run-up to elections in the early 2000s.
Zanu-PF even burnt down his home in Newtown suburb. Politics is about money, and I have reason to believe that Chebundo has been bought.
TBAZ should be fair in awarding licences
Last year, he lost in the MDC Alliance primary elections for the Kwekwe Central seat to youth leader Judith Tobaiwa. So as it stands, he is nowhere near being called a bigwig?
Icansayhewasabigwig during the time President Emmerson Mnangagwa was contesting for the Kwekwe Central seat in the 2000 and 2005 elections, not now.
I always wonder how he beat before a new constituency Chirumhanzu-Zibagwe was created specifically to accommodate the politically-bruised Zanu-PF heavyweight.
Now it is the people of Zimbabwe who are bigwigs because without them, Chebundo will never be anywhere near our country's political landscape.
I don't think the departure of Chebundo and Lillian Timveos from the MDCs is a blow to the MDCs, but good riddance.
A blow would be felt if the 2,2 million people who voted for Nelson Chamisa in the 2018 elections defect enmasse to Zanu-PF.
