The verdict of Zimbabweans speak volumes

The report on poll results released by Gallup, an American research organisation, that is said to study the approval ratings for presidents worldwide, has once again shown the vindictiveness of the Americans on the sub-Saharan African leaders, the majority of them who have refused to pander to their machinations.
The results of the poll suggesting that our revered leader President Robert Mugabe is one of the worst leaders in sub-Saharan Africa, are a non-event and should be condemned to the dustbin of obscurity. Releasing the results to coincide with the US-Africa Leaders' Summit in Washington DC, is another ploy by the west to portray themselves as the big brothers of this world.
The hypocrisy of the west in particular America is evident in the manner they have continued to violate international laws with impunity. Sub-Sahara African leaders who have over the years agreed to everything that the Americans have said including homosexuality are ranked among the leaders with the highest approval ratings.
The current economic challenges and hardships that have seen companies closing down and workers retrenched, and government struggling to pay workers on time, are the results of the effects of the illegal economic sanctions that the Americans have imposed on Zimbabwe. The Americans have rejected to come to terms with the reality of the fact that the Zimbabweans spoke resoundingly in support of President Mugabe. They continue to stifle efforts to rebuild the economy of Zimbabwe to the extent of trying to deny Zimbabwe access money from the sale of its precious diamonds.
This poll result is another attempt to paint a bad picture of Zimbabwe as an investment destination. The tenacity and resilience of Zimbabweans in their quest to turn around the fortunes of the economy will prove prophets of doom wrong. No amount of demonising the President will dampen the spirit of Zimbabweans. The verdict of Zimbabweans as demonstrated during 31 July 2013 harmonised elections speaks volumes compared to the poll results of 1000 adults. The Gallup results will never dampen our spirit or mean anything to Zimbabwe.
