MDC-T Renewal team a copycat

An African adage which says that a mystery takes long to unfold seems to be a true reflection of the MDC-T Renewal team. The party's lack of ideological thrust is evidenced by its insistence on holding on to some MDC-T symbols and borrowing of Zanu-PF ideology.
Recently the media was awash with the MDC-T Renewal team's proposals to form a partnership to run and govern the country. The party proclaimed that it was making frantic efforts to partner the ruling Zanu-PF party in government by forging a technical select committee comprising of both Zanu-PF and MDC members to run the economy.
The decision or rather the assumption of partnership with Zanu-PF seems to be day dreaming for the small opposition party. These people tasted power during the era of the Government of National Unity and now they are seeing themselves in the political wilderness. The two parties' ideological orientations are totally different. Zanu-PF is for Pan Africanism while the MDC-T Renewal team is pro-West and they are busy begging for sanctions to be maintained so that they can remove President Robert Mugabe from power.
The truth of the matter is that these people are so desperate for power that they are prepared to do anything. Just imagine that these people were the ones who called for sanctions and now they purport to have the desire to help build the economy. It is a fact that Zanu-PF has a manifesto to fulfill and will not engage any political party as it is implementing its economic blue print, Zim Asset. In this regard Zanu-PF has rebuffed Tendai Biti's MDC-T Renewal team.
It seems there is profusion and confusion in this new small opposition party as epitomized by its vacillating attitudes to join Zanu-PF members and lure MDC-T members. The party is seen to be clinging on to the MDC-T logo or symbol. Please be original and desist to be a copycat of another political party. Instead the party should concentrate on recruiting new members from their mother party MDC-T were there is a pool of Western puppets.
The MDC-T Renewal team should not mislead the people of Zimbabwe by claiming that they are Pan Africanist and they recognize the war veterans. It is known and should be known that the national constitution stipulates that we should recognize and take cognizance of our past. Therefore whether we like it or not it is a constitutional requirement to recognize veterans as the vanguard of the liberation struggle.
The Renewal Team needs to be home grown and be original. The party seems to be heading for its own extinction as it is fast luring and recruiting power hungry personalities who all want to be presidents.
