Zanu-PF - 'Stop the fight'

06 Nov 2014 at 10:07hrs | Views

It is mind boggling to see the internal squabbles engulfing Zanu-PF at this critical moment just a few weeks before the elective congress. This should stop forthwith to give an opportunity to sanity to rule.

The ruling Zanu-PF party is the most important organisation in this country which determines the macro-political-economic in Zimbabwe. Zanu-PF crew are the ruling elites, in view of such, whatever happens in the party has a potential to impact negatively on the operations of the government. By so doing, this has the effect to stifle investor confidence as we as a nation risk losing their faith in us as a country.

Surely, the ugly scenes of violence which erupted in Harare South this Wednesday are regrettable. Why would people from the same party clash over issues which can be resolved amicably in-house. My appeal is, do not allow the situation to go out of hand while the rest of the nation is watching. Never wash your dirty linen in public! The ordinary citizen is only worried about bread and butter issues whose satisfaction is met by the correct political investment by our leaders. What is taking place in the party is not pleasing at all, especially when people are supposed to go for the congress as a united front which should decide the best for the entire nation.

Zanu-PF is a mature political party which is expected to handle matters in a mature style as well. Zanu-PF should show itself distinctly from political novices which are on the same platform.

Do not allow factionalism to disintegrate the moral fabric of the party. Unity is the founding principle of peace, and development for the nation to achieve the national aspirations as defined by our national values as a people. Factionalists should be shown the exit since they are misfits in the grand focus of unity and ultimate peace.

United we stand divide we fall!
