Reshuffling of cabinet welcome

As the curtain came down at the ZANU PF congress, nail biting continues in the revolutionary party as President Mugabe redefines the direction and tone for sustainable political and socio economic transformation in Zimbabwe.
The firing of the incompetent and inconsistent cabinet ministers spells the political will by President Mugabe to punctuate his empowerment drive. Sanity is surely dawning in Zimbabwe as the revolutionary party prunes its wayward cadres.
Now that the missing political will has been done, the nation can brace to benefit from the full potential in ZANU PF and President Mugabe in particular. The charismatic leader has made his presence known by exhibiting his mastery of timeous intervention.
Most quarters from different walks of life thought and insinuated that the President was possibly napping on duty and had lost control of the nation ship. Indeed it pays off to observe from a distance and weigh issues outside the realm of political contestation.
This is a tried and tested phenomenon in politics which the opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, could not master as he woke up with a muddy face in the name of a myriad of fissures, splinters and breakaways in his party. The opposite is true with ZANU PF as the party has emerged rejuvenated with the general membership spurring President Mugabe to go on with the disposing of undesirable elements.
President Mugabe's desire to set up a future oriented team to stir the nation ship is then calculative, admissible and enhances the feasibility of a better Zimbabwe and ZANU PF under his stewardship.
It is prudent at this juncture to look ahead for the appointment of individuals with people at heart and connected to the plight of the nation. The offloading of the lot of ministers loosens the grip of the nation from the vice of corruption. Transparency International ranked Zimbabwe number 156 out of 175 countries hard hit by corruption.
To effectively deal away with the deep rooted corruption, there is need to resurrect the Anti Corruption Commission and capacitate it with a new set of statutes to increase grip and sharpen its teeth. The recent revelations by the Women's League Chairperson, Cde Grace Mugabe, in her "Meet the People tour", exposed that the government of the people had loopholes compared to the legalist 'government of the law'.
It does not call for an astronaut to detail that abuse of the party and public office was pivotal in the commission of alleged corruption by the expelled ministers.
Chinese President, Xi Jinping, once described corruption as a "disease that calls for powerful drugs,". Literary 'powerful drugs' insinuates stern measures against the ailment. As such ZANU PF in general and the President in particular are spot on by letting loose of rogue elements that are anti development to say the least.
