Why MDC formations are a security threat

A political threat is a system that aims at misinformation and broadcasting of negative propaganda done by individuals, political groups and media houses.
The threat comes from the fact that people will be "forced" to react either negatively or violently and that may change a positive political system for neo-colonial agenda.
A security threat is a threat system that aims at destroying the individual security and national security through sanctions that causes shortages of food, unemployment, poor education, low productivity, high inflation with an objective of making people revolt against a government.
Morgan Tsvangirai, his MDC-T and supporters have continued to violate the legal systems by subverting the constitution thus threatening the nation security of this country.
Tsvangirai has been at liberty at calling for violence and attacking security sector officials.
Recently Tsvangirai and his party through their propaganda media have attacked securocrats at rallies, seminaries and at every international fora they attend.
It is surprising how they chose these fora when they should be raising the security issue during the national Security Council meeting chaired by the President. It is also astonishing how they chose to be at liberty discussing issues of a security nature with foreigners and not wanting to discuss them in the NSC.
The Eurocentric concept of the security sector reform (SSR) is aimed at weakening security institutions in Africa in order to colonise the continent. Its main thrust is to use the neo-liberal academics who in the eyes of
Europe and America appear to be democratic. However, it must be known that these academics or scholars, the likes of Mathuthu, Obert Gutu, Prof Makumbe, Dr Madhuku et al use democracy, rule of law and human rights as a vehicle to get donor money which makes them so loud mouth as agents of regime change.
It is both academically and logically surprising that the neo-liberal academics have deliberately chosen to misinterpret the statement made by some service chiefs in their individual capacities to mean both dabbling in politics and as their legal position. It is also surprising how a statement like "If Tsvangirai wins elections I will resign" could he said to be violent.
The individual security chiefs are only stating that they are not prepared to salute a person of the character of Morgan Tsvangirai et al. In other words, these revolutionary individuals are warning the citizens of Zimbabwe that the behaviours of Tsvangirai, his MDC party and supporters are in other countries regarded as treasonous.
One wonders what would happen to any of the opposition leaders in Britain and America if they treacherously denounce their countries in foreign land as Morgan Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti, et al, do.
The SSR has become topical in that it has been taken like a storm by the MDC-T in their endeavour to weaken Zimbabwe security system for regime change agenda. Zimbabweans you are once again being reminded that these media tabloids are own by the scandalous Rupert Murdoch, who is an Australian by origin and are managed by Zimbabweans who this writer feel are not proudly Zimbabweans.
This topical issue of SSR has largely been put out of context by the MDC and the neo-liberal academics. Their aim is to rubbish Zimbabwe's security institution in guise of democracy and non-partisan politics of the service chiefs. One question that begs answer is General Collin Powell was the Commander of the American Armed Forces ending up as the chief diplomat (Secretary of State) in George Bush's government. Were his skills and competences in politics not identified during his service with the military? Is it not that from the Prussian wars or even before up to date military generals have a say in politics?
The NewsDay of Wednesday July 20 refers to security chiefs as either idiots or "dogs". The use of these words is unAfrican. To refer or equate soldiers as dogs at home in this modern-day and age is an insult to the revolution. This kind of literature review that targets an ancient meaning is clout with backwardness.
Dear readers remember we are dealing with power politics. It must be understood that SI are not kennels where service chiefs are housed only to bark and bite the intruder on intrusion. The security institution are the eyes and ears of the state and must see, hear and act. The motto of the MDC is to quieten the service chiefs not to inform the nation of the security challenges that they are likely to face.
During the run-up to the Tanzania general election the service chiefs warned the opposition about engaging in violence. They made it clear that they would not sit and watch them create an ungovernable environment. Recently, in Botswana a country that once housed Tsvangirai on his self-exile expedition a service chief warned the opposition not to influence the military to be disobedient.
In a Chinese daily of 16/07/11 it was reported that service chiefs of both China and America are making frantic efforts to sanitise their relationship in order to thaw the tense relationship between the two big nations.
That's politics, big time politics.
People who are calling for SSR are contemplating of a reform that targets individuals to resign from the security institution. Some academics have joined hands with the MDC-T in name calling the service chiefs and wanting them to resign in order to please Britain and America who are battling with recession, wars, scandals and corruption. Surprisingly, the opposition in Zimbabwe (MDC-T) is calling for the retraining and resigning of the service chiefs. On the contrary, America is strengthening by reshuffling its security institution. General Petras, the former Commander of the American Forces in Afghanistan, is to be the head of the CIA.
Several military generals in the American Armed Forces are being given influential positions on the America civil administration.
SSR is not a capital venture to reduce interest rates. It is a venture to strengthen, enhance, advance and develop SSR by looking after the welfare of the SI as Britain and America do. The SSR must aim at keeping up the technology of all our security institution in order to capacitate them to be a security brand, above the CIA.
The MDC formations, some academics and scholars seem to view SSR as a way of removing all war veterans from all security institutions. They do this through the private media and in some instances they discuss security issues on Studio 7.
It is surprising how the private media fail to equate politicians from MDC as traitors when they fail to adhere to what they were sworn in to safe guard. The private media does not see the idiocy of a senior
Government official from the opposition doing treason and treacherous things of making the USA Government not to remove sanctions that has destroyed our national economic fabric.
Calling for sanctions is in itself a security threats not a political threat. Failing to discuss security challenges in a forum like the National Security Council whilst finding wisdom to discuss them in public, at rallies and with foreign missions is a security threat not a political threat. This writer feels the Tsvangirai and his MDC party are a national security threat and not a political threat.
The country has seen many occasions Tsvangirai name calling the President, calling for sanctions which he has refused to campaign for their lifting, involved in violence which he sometimes and recklessly admits his party is involved in.
Tsvangirai dins and wins with the devil hence he, his party and followers are a security threat not a political threat. Thus individual service chiefs like Brigadier-General Nyikayaramba are right to say Tsvangirai is a security threat not a political threat.
The questions to ask are what value are the Tsvangirai-instigated sanctions bringing to anyone's life? Have anyone benefited from the sanctions be they targeted or not and how? Is land not benefiting some people in Zimbabwe? What about indigenous and black empowerment? Does donor funding improve our GP or it fattens the pockets of civil society NGOs and individuals in MDC-T like Tsvangirai. These questions deal with human security to which this writer strongly feels the human security is threatened by sanctions and Tsvangirai is the foot soldier causing havoc to human security.
Indeed, Tsvangirai demonstrated his threat to national security by avoiding to attend to a national heroes event preferring to go and privately meet the Queen's messenger, David Cameron, in SA.
