Zanu-PF not penetrating MDC-T
18 May 2015 at 21:18hrs | Views
It comes as a surprise for an experienced and self imposed democrat in the name of Obert GUTU, the MDC-T National Spokesperson to say that Zanu-PF is constantly scheming and plotting to cripple the operations of the MDC-T. This shows that the party has run out of ideas and strategies.
It is alleged that a plot has been made to soil the image of the party's senior leaders, including the Vice President Thokozani Khupe because of her allegiance to the party President, Morgan Tsvangirai. An exegesis of these allegations shows that the party is now in a state of confusion and profusion. In actual fact to say that Zanu-PF is penetrating MDC-T is utter rubbish.
The real issue is that MDC-T supporters are the ones contemplating to join the so-called Mujuru cabal being led by the beleaguered Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo were thrown into the political dustbin by Zanu-PF. Your political sponsors want you to merger with the new baby on the political landscape, Zanu-PF People First.
It is a misinterpretation of reality to say that Zanu-PF is penetrating MDC-T but the party and its leader are the ones to blame. Morgan Tsvangirai is simply unfit to rule let alone to govern a country with such a deep and complex history as Zimbabwe. Th ex-trade union leader has been reluctantly thrown into the fray and the hustle and bustle of Zimbabwean politics by political circumstances.
Tsvangirai has no nationalist institutional memory apart from the five insignificant years at the local Zanu-PF office in Bindura. This lack of nationalist credentials is a further warning of his questionable motives and suitability to occupy the highest office in Zimbabwe. Despite himself, Tsvangirai expresses admiration and envy for the leadership qualities of President Mugabe.
Tsvangirai's efforts to blame President Mugabe's decision making on economic matters is both importune and unfortunate and leads to the conclusion that the leader of the MDC-T is a lightweight on issues of economic importance. It seems that he believes that Zimbabwe's economic woes, past and current, should be solely laid at the door of one man and his party. He is in a desperate mode to raise his political profile.
Tsvangirai is either a very stupid man or else there is a method in his madness as he attempts to spruce up his image to gain access to the highest office in the land. He and the MDC-T, own their own, are insignificant coterie of individuals politically; it is who they represent that is a great threat, that is white western capital.
The truth is that this man of ours, Tsvangirai, suffers from an extreme case of premature self congratulation.
