COULD the ground be tilted against the squabble- ridden Zanu-PF government come 2018 general elections wher e -Zanu - Zimbabwe's only ruling party  since independence is tipped to lose to the Tsvangirai led MDC, while more opposition parties continue to emerge?

Launched recently in Harare, the Zimbabwe Peoples Party (ZPFP) says its arrival on the political scene is a huge game changer meant to liberate suffering millions of Zimbabweans, most of them leaving in abject poverty under the poverty datum line  and lacking basic social provisions such as access to basic healthcare.

"Our mission is to create  and provide a healthy and conducive environment for each and every Zimbabwean to prosper ; to bring total peace, unity , freedom , productivity  and accountability with one common goal : to make Zimbabwe the most developed  country with the best economy in the global village," said party president Owen Kuchata.

The youthful 33-year –old leader whose bubbling energy can be seen form an array of community projects he is doing in serving the underprivileged stressed that Zimbabwe's freedom would remain in vain unless people enjoy and are guaranteed their full citizen rights .

"Our party is mandated by the people and wholly guided by the need to create jobs, develop infrastructure, provide education, child and food security and an improved health delivery system.

"We are out to destroy an unsuitable environment which is so ruthless. As the new peoples' party president I will not sit down and relax when anarchy prevails.

"For the record ZPFP is a party anchored on human rights where  we are only the custodians of people's power and facilitate the full enjoyment of their social, economic and political rights in the letter and the spirit of the founding principles of the liberation struggle," added Kuchata .

Hinting on the dire human security situation in the country and in a veiled reference to missing human rights activist and journalist Itai Dzamara, the  Chirumanzu bred outspoken political activist castigated the Zanu government for failing to ensure security of citizens, a sad situation he said his party would work tirelessly to remove.

"Once in office , ZPFP  will have the   immediate purpose  securing  protection of individual rights of citizens and the provision of public service.

"It is a government that will stand for unity, justice, peace, security and the general promotion of its people's welfare," he said.

A born again Christian who is a deacon in ZAOGA Ministries took a dig at the deplorable moral standards in the rank and file of the president Robert Mugabe  Zanu  party vowing that the ZPFP party will seek to  ethics  order and accountability as the pinnacle of any progressive society.

"The rate of corruption of R. Mugabe (president) and his Zanu-PF party is very high and is disrupting our country's economy, looting people's resources for their benefits.

"As ZPFP we pledge unreservedly out intolerance to corruption, nepotism and other vices in our goal to liberate the people from political, economic, social and cultural bondage, " he added.

Kuchata said the party formed in 2013, will is on a heated nationwide exercise to build structures, said it will contest as a fully fledged political party in 2018.

Alerady Kuchata, himself an entrepreneur has proved his infinite zeal for development with a number of orphans from primary school up to tertiary level being supported with tuition fees , while he also has a feeding project for a number of elder people in  Harare's high density suburbs.

Kuchata added that the only stumbling block would be finance and resources but was quick to point out that the party's cause will prosper because it was a worth one.

It however remained to be seen that the party is not just a mere Zanu-PF plot to weaken opposition vote for its glory, according to critics.
