Tsvangirai calls on Zanu PF to 'step down' but for real change MDC too must step down!

President Robert Mugabe and former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai
MDC-T leader, Morgan Tsvangirai call President Mugabe's claim that agricultural production will help revive Zimbabwe's economy a "fallacy" because crop prices are depressed.
"Firstly, if you look at the cotton price today, 30 cents, no one is going to plant any cotton," said Tsvangirai.
"The small scale cotton growers have suffered a heavy loss, from $1.50 to 30 cents a kg because the gunners are now a cartel which has agreed to cut cotton prices to 30 cents."
"When a government fails, to the extent that Zanu PF has failed, the only honourable thing for that government is to step down and call for elections," proposed Tsvangirai.
Even if Zanu PF was to call for fresh elections what is there to stop them rigging the vote again as happened in 2013? Back then Tsvangirai promised the nation the elections would be free, fair and credible and, of course, they were not!
Yes the country's ticket out of this political and economic mess is for Zanu PF to step down so that all the democratic reforms necessary for free, fair and credible elections can finally be implemented. Not to step down and held yet another rigged elections to put us back in the mess. So the key this time is to make sure all the reforms are implemented BEFORE new elections.
It was Tsvangirai and his friends who let the nation down by failing to implement even one reform in five years in the GNU, the nation will be very naïve and irresponsible to once again trust MDC leaders to carry out this critical task.
"When opposition fail, to the extent that MDC has failed (they failed to implement even one reform in five years because they are breathtakingly corrupt and incompetent) the only honourable thing for that opposition is to step down and f***k off!" to paraphrase Tsvangirai's own words!
In the long run the people always get the government they deserve. After 35 years we cannot deny that we deserve this corrupt, incompetent and oppressive Zanu PF dictatorship and its equally corrupt and incompetent MDC opposition side-kick. Yes it was the corrupt, incompetent and oppressive President Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies who have landed us into this mess but we would have got out of the mess by now were it not for the fact that MDC, whom we entrusted to get us out, have themselves turned out to be corrupt and incompetent.
Yes the challenge before us still remains one of removing President Mugabe and Zanu PF but we will never do it unless we acknowledge that MDC leaders have failed and therefore we need more competent leaders who will not so easily cheated and bamboozled by Zanu PF!
