Zanu-PF should heed Mugabe's call for unity

The call by the Zanu-PF's First Secretary and President, Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe on 16 October 2015, during his address of the 99th Ordinary Session of the Zanu-PF Central Committee, that some party leadership should be accountable to the people and stop destroying each other through the private media, is a strong statement which needs to be embraced by any peace loving individual in the country in general and Zanu-PF in particular.
It is high time that Zanu-PF members take the President's call seriously so that the revolutionary party gets to the 2018 harmonized elections as a united front. Using the private media to destroy each is not health for the party as it creates divisions which could make the party disintegrate. People should realise that back biting each other is a sign of weakness and any person who is wronged by his/her colleague should make normal internal ways of resolving disputes as a measure to make sure that the party remains intact.
All Zanu-PF members and supporters must be aware that the party is bigger than individuals hence; they should not disobey what they are told by top leadership of the party to do. It is good for everyone in the revolutionary party to make sure that personal interests should not be used to destroy the party. It is a fact that personal aggrandizements in any organization are not welcome so people should work for the betterment of the party and stop using personal interests to the extent of manipulating other people to follow suit. As such all Zanu-PF members should heed what the President said and make sure that the use of private media as a channel of communication within the revolutionary party is totally abolished.
President Mugabe made it clear that the party has "one mouth" hence there is no need for those with grievances to invite the private press as to destroy others through the usage of those opposition papers which are bent on writing anything negative about the revolutionary party. People should realise that rushing to the private press to settle scores does not help the party to be united anywhere but it only makes the opposition political parties to have ammunition to destroy it.
So Zanu-PF members should take seriously the advice from President Mugabe and fight to make sure that the revolutionary party remains united. On the other hand the Zanu-PF leadership should take stern action against those working tirelessly to destroy the party. Of late the party has found itself divided among certain individuals who are allegedly fanning factionalism in the party in the hope that their personal aspirations and interests would be fulfilled.
Alleged factionalism within the party could destroy the party if left unchecked and controlled. In fact those people who are going against the principle and ideology of the party should be disciplined. Zanu-PF members need to be advised that the revolutionary party does not allow indiscipline to take place among its members hence those found on the wrong side of the law should be dealt with internally and made to adhere to the party's laws and regulations.
It is a fact that some certain individuals in Zanu-PF are creating factional talks as a way of creating confusion within the ruling party. For that reason those involved in such indiscipline should be brought to book so that the party is not divided along personal interests of few individuals. People should be made to realise that they are smaller than the party and their selfish interests have no room in this revolutionary party.
Actually Zanu-PF members should refrain from unnecessary issues that are prone to the destabilization of the party but they should work together for the benefit of the country. It is common knowledge that going against what the leadership of the party is wrong hence people must remain united. Like what the President said that all people should not use the private media as a mode to settle scores hence all Zanu-PF members should take that advice seriously so that indiscipline is contained.
As such everyone in the country should take President Mugabe's advise serious so that people stop using the media as a means to settle their scores. People should learn to amicably solve disputes without backbiting each other.
