A marriage that was never to be.

When black Zimbabweans went to war in their minds there was a country that was going to be founded and administered in unity.
All hell broke loose when a tribal break away party was formed in 1963 financed by western imperialists.
ZAPU as a nationalist movement continued believing that Zimbabwe people come first on everything the party did.Because of this kind of belief ZAPU went on to form ZIPA that brought together Zipra and Zanla forces, this did not work as our forces were abused and killed by Zanla members.
In the ZAPU family unity flows, this alone is a sign of unending love of our people. ln 1979 ZAPU got into another unity, the unity that was to unseat the white racist regime and replace it with a black people centred government.
Again tribalists reneged from the PF arrangement, setting up to massive human rights abuses from as early as 1980.Zimbabwe as a country was born out of anger, hurt and dishonest, this continued up to today.Due to this hurt tribal strife was the order of the day leading to mass killings master minded by ZanuPf masquerading as a peoples 's government.
ZAPU leaders, activists and sympathisers were ruthlessly killed in cold blood. The killings forced ZAPU leaders and activists to seek asylum from neighbouring countries and abroad. The situation continued deteriorating such that leaders were compelled again to save lives through a unity with the killers.
In that unity pact there were issues that were agreed upon but never happened, issues like treating citizenry equally, developmental issues in all regions, affording each and every tribe in the country equal treatment by the state, respecting human rights and affording every child equal education.
All this was never to be realised ad Zanu-PF government continuously did the opposite, abused people's rights, developed certain areas at the expense of other, selective education, nepotism and many ills that we all know. Because of such satanic behaviour still taking centre stage in our beloved country it is just a sad thing for our people to come together celebrating "nothing".
Why should we continuously lie to ourselves and the nation that there is unity amongst our people while we know crystal clearly that there is no such a thing.
Our people need true unity, not this cosmetic one that we continue to denounce year in and year out. This was a marriage that was never to be.
