Zanu-PF infighting: A time to kill

Tribalism rears its ugly head once again in my beloved Zimbabwe. Not against the Ndebele speaking citizens of the southern part of the country. But right in the middle of Mashonaland and Manicaland.

The mighty Zezuru versus the cunning Karanga. Both of these groups  are well versed in the art of executing warfare against unarmed citizens. Both with the desired expertise in the art of mass murder and disappearances.

Their skills in this practice were honed in the killing fields of Matebeleland and some parts of the Midlands. Nkayi, Tsholotsho, Bulilimamangwe/Plumtree, Kezi/Mapisa, Victoria Falls/Binga, Gwanda, Beitbridge, Zhombe, Lower Gweru, Kwekwe and others places I dare not mention. Masters of hiding the evidence in mass graves.

These were the training grounds for what is about to take place. Zimbabwe is about to burn big time. I cannot speculate which side will win this looming battle of battles or indeed this war. What I can speculate on is who is going to be the loser: The innocent citizens of Zimbabwe where ever they are.

A tribal conflagration of unimaginable proportion is about to descend on this beautiful African country. ZANU yeropa! And blood is about to flow.

First they will stage the usual 'accidents'. Then they will become bolder and make key players on both sides  disappear. Politicians' wives and children will be fair game as this is  a high stakes game being played right in front of our very own eyes. Both sides have access to the state machinery.

The police, the army and the intelligence wings will be divided by their loyalties and lack of professionalism. Add to this mix the unregulated ex-combatants and militia. Asazi! Themselves divided by a bitter war of independence where the spoils of war when not equitably distributed.  And what will the people of Matebeleland and Midlands be doing when all this is going on.Exactly what those from the northern parts did when the Gukurahundi massacres were taking place. Absolutely nothing! Of course I am talking about the current infighting in the ruling party ranks.

This surely is a time to kill or be killed. Father Zimbabwe, the country is burning because of the new Mother Zimbabwe. God help us.
