Mugabe Million Man March and its significance for deepening corruption and poor governance in Zimbabwe political outlook

28 May 2016 at 02:14hrs | Views
Demonstrations or solidarity marches are often a project or an AGENDA to highlight achievements and/or show openly repressions against degradation suffered by humanity through, in part, loss of dignity, self-respect and freedoms.

The recent Zanu sponsored 1 million man march like all of Mugabe's past birth days celebrations, show emptiness of purpose, no regards to prevailing human suffering but the trumping up of emotions of the poor with intense fear of an imaginary western enemy, who children of thirty years and below cannot fully perceive, comprehend let alone explain. Many of so called youth in Zanu can but only regurgitate in response Zanu slogans fearful of reprisals by party hierarchy in order to further the ugly stay of Zanu government in power. The blue print on poor governance-corruption-has successfully subdued opposition to government beginning by subjecting the petite bourgeoisie to financial blackmail including the common man in the streets and the rural peasants.

From the common man Zanu has taken away understanding of party deception dynamics so they would know no better than worship Zanu surrogates each and every year gone by in anticipation of never realized benefits that are always on the promises at political rallies. What now happens is that instead the middle class who work hard to oil top echelon of the party vis-à-vis against the lower echelon of the party making them loyal to the party improving top echelon members' personal fame and wealthy. This has increased Zanu government chances of running a bankrupted country. Meanwhile the masses are traumatized from government lack of accountability they cannot relate to anyone except swallow it by following sheepishly. Who indeed can recue the poor masses from this trap and remove the top echelon of Zanu and dispossess the petite bourgeoisie who keep a buffer between masses and corruption machinery?

It is critical to understand that the petite bourgeoisie in Zimbabwe is a parasite to Zanu top echelon because his source of wealth is driven from the corruptness now endemic in government bureaucracy and the party politics systemic in the country. The level of corruption entrenchment in Zimbabwe by Mugabe Zanu more so as guarded by force of military corruption power; may warrant a radical media changes in the country coupled with impeccable honesty equaled with intelligence clarity and moral courage in whoever takes up the plate to introduce paradigm change in Zimbabwe politics.  Departing from Zanu corrupt paradigm is as easy as to examine what breaks down our economic performance item by item beginning at how Mugabe build corruption on a military styled democracy that hoodwink the world and Africa into accepting him as genius.

The project for million man march for Zanu can only highlight misery in slave-master relationships that now exist from bandage and fear of abuse imaginary as the worst to ever come than what people are already suffering- jobless consistently declining economy, lack of freedom to speak against Mugabe and the system, blackmail to the petite bourgeois who fear to lose their false position of wealth and the rot that sustains it, namely, corruption. The trap of the worst is yet to come except you believe in Robert Mugabe is an old deception based on propaganda Zanu created through the abuse of state funds. Watch statistics on government subsidies to Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation a business running concern now operating as a social profit organization on people's taxes through the arm of a dysfunctional government. In fact, people need to march against abuse of power, authority, funds and people by the failing Zanu government.

Truth be told, million man march instigated by power mongering Zanu machinery is nothing but a fool's paradise to try and impress western perception of support for democracy in Zimbabwe in order that sanctions and legitimacy can be bestowed on Zanu leadership again. Where in the world have you seen people run the streets to support, corruption, declining accountability and poor governance making the country loose her technical and management manpower, running away investors, declining farm and business production and freedoms generally? Unless we designate Zimbabwe as a mad house the concept of a million man march need be the beginning and end of Zanu government because it betrays her lack of foresight, vision and leadership accountability. There is no child born today who can voluntarily be supportive to a demonstration or march as ambiguous as the cause behind Zanu million man march in May 2016. Whether they are a million man or not is not the issues, the issue is it is not an agenda but a cover up of ills in administration by a failing government.

A seating government does not need chase the air in marchings that detract work production, but can express achievements in terms of new jobs created, stability of the trade and commerce in the country and an enviable attraction and return home of both investors and home expertise that has left the country from threats of an incompetent government chastising intelligent men and women for their honesty opinions on how poor the country is run. Such is an agenda for cover up to deteriorating conditions by a failing government seeking appeasement from her surrogates than endorsement by the masses.

When in 2000 Zanu was challenged in a popular match whose agenda was against Zanu dictatorial constitutional changes without a referendum, the message came back clear as defeat of the party that still coerce masses after then into a million man march episodes. When in 2008, as with many other past electoral elections, Zanu was beaten but refused to admit defeat, how significant could be the honesty on which the Zanu decision of million man march share credibility of being an honesty acknowledgement that Zanu is failing yet unable to relinquish power to the people.

Considering questions that have never been debated or answered by President Mugabe on why he should believe he is the best leader when evidence show he is a failure, there is no ways at 92 years old President Mugabe or his surrogates can sound sane to claim the best is yet to come from the 92 legendary political failure and his dying political party. Contexting the flag protest currently on-going against meaningless million man march should show beginning of a revolution based on historical record of abuse, economic failure, people torture by force of violence, rigging of elections by a sitting government and the denial of people their constitutional freedoms.

People do not need give up but remain focused to see fake innovation from tested experience in politics of freedom against one of personal aggrandizement.  We can only count set back as from within ourselves hence we watch Zanu commit era after another. While easier say than done, history bears evidence that opposition is disingenuous and would not sacrifice anything except play a wait and see game. No doubt people morale goes down but within that framework shall arise well timed chain of actions that will lead masses to victory. It may look hopeless. But politics has no basis of redemption except hard reality when people prepare to march demanding freedom at any cost collectively and united by that agenda.
