An open letter to President Emmerson Mnangagwa

Dear Mr President,
Nothing will last forever and power is very sweet, just ask uncle Bob. But for how long will you succeed in deceiving the whole nation and the world by creating fake scenarios time and again?
During liberation struggle you and your party misled freedom fighters to believe that Mugabe was a Zimbabwean yet its not a secret that the guy comes from Malawi. You successfully labeled the young commanders traitors and arrested them, yet these are the guys who spearheaded the Mugagao Declaration that resulted in the fall of Ndabaningi Sithole and are the same people who resuscitated the war after the assassination of Chitepo that left many Zanu commanders under arrest including Tongogara.
In the early eighties you purportedly massacred more than 20,000 innocent Ndebele speaking people in pursuit of fewer than 200 disgruntled Zapu fighters. In 2002 you chased away the white community from farms through the land reform program — and you and your Zanu Pf top brass ended up with multiple farms.
You fooled the whole world by pretending that our loved ones were in the DRC to protect a legitimate government yet they were really there to protect your interests. You fooled the world by flying President Kabila's corpse to Harare purporting that he was still alive.
In 2005 you punished urban dwellers through Operation Murambatsvina after people had voted MDC — even the United Nation was shocked.
In 2008 you successfully held the whole country hostage by keeping back election results for more than a month, only to finally announce fake results.
The list is too long, Mr President, but lastly you got power through a coup but lied that you and your Generals were targeting criminals surrounding Mugabe, are Chombo, Chipanga and Hamandishe the only criminals in Zanu Pf. There are at least that many more in your Cabinet.
You got the Presidency through a coup and this left you few options except to reward those military officers and ministers who helped you to the top post. But will your men perform to your expectations and enable you to leave a good legacy?
Mr President, when the late President Gaddaffi came to power in Libya, it was also through a bloodless coup. He eliminated his opponents and appointed himself chairman of his party, Prime minister and Defence Minister, but eventually his leadership came to a painful and pathetic end because he and his party continued to oppress the Libyan people. You should look at what happened to him and be afraid. Zimbabweans are not yet free.
Your past Mr President leaves a lot to be desired and the only honest and humble move is to admit your wrongs personally and say "I AM SORRY". Zimbabweans are prepared to forgive. We don't repay evil with evil. Even God forgives those who asks for forgiveness no matter how big their sins may appear.
It is no secret Murambwi that people in ZANU PF and the nation as a whole don't like you. Those who are showering you with praises today are the same people who would be celebrating your downfall were it not for General Chiwenga and the people of Zimbabwe who worked together to remove the oldest serving leader in the world. Frankly, now that the dicataor Mugabe has gone, its now "aziva kwake aziva kwake" each man for himself. Your predecessor Mugabe won elections by hook or by crook since 1980 and your own people in Midlands disowned you. If it was not for Mugabe's magnanimity your political career would have been finished long back.
You now have a golden opportunity to clean up your mess, Mr President. Remember there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. We need a free, fair and credible election in Zimbabwe for this nation to prosper. Shumba Murambwi, be our de Klerk of Zimbabwe. You now hold the keys to unlock the chains that shackle the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans. Stop the suffering of people who spend sleepless nights in bank queues, of graduates who end up being vendors, of those who live in cities where there is no clean water and where the health services have deteriorated to third world levels. Then you will have achievements to be proud of.
Thank you Mr President may the Lord help you in your endeavour to make Zimbabwe a prosperous nation once again.
