Open letter to the new President

17 Dec 2017 at 01:55hrs | Views
I want to start by congratulating you on your elevation to the Presidency Mr ED Mnangagwa.

I have been seeing in the media your determination to improve the lives of all Zimbabweans. This, like you say, will be done if our country starts receiving funds for recapitalization. I know populist statements when l hear any and Mr President be careful you don't fall into that category by your statements coming through the media.

In more than 20 years Zimbabwe was destroyed by your party Zanu pf through ruinous policies.I want you to call on all Zimbabwean people doing menial jobs in Botswana, South Africa, the UK and so on. I want you to convince the citizenry that you are determined for prosperous change. What l have seen is you replacing incompetent people with equally same type of people.

I guess you know the adage ..a clean broom sweeps better than the old one. Here the old broom has just changed hands. I want to hear you tell us about reforms in the security sectors as well as Justice ministry. These are the cornerstone of an democratic country. Time is not on your side, failure to address the main issues means Mugabe is gone but the evil system is still there. For 37 years you were part of the destructive polices of Zanu pf.

Zimbabweans celebrated for a new era like they said. I myself did not celebrate knowing the person in you who has assumed highest office. This is the probationary period for you. People want jobs, healthy, access to their money in banks etc. We want to see smoke coming from our industries like in the old days until you started destroying all that you found laid down by white colonialists.

Albert is Currently in South Africa in search of greener pastures after Zanu pf stole everyone's dream.
