Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs Mandi Chimene has said her games Local Organising Committee will not stoop so low to fail to attract sponsorship just like Zifa.
She was speaking during the National Youth Games preparations on Wednesday morning in Mutare.
Chimene said officials at Number 53, Livingstone Street in Harare do not deserve to be in office after failing to ensure that the country participates in the World Cup qualifiers by paying the amount they owed former national team coach Valihnos.
"I have no doubt that we will raise more than enough for this event.
"I was hurt to learn that we will not take part in the World Cup qualifiers because of people who chose to sleep on duty.
"We really cannot stoop so low to fail to attract sponsorship just like Zifa, who failed to get $64 000 to pay Valihnos. It's a shame!
"What it means to me is that those people running Zifa should not be in office.
"They are actually sleeping on duty and we will not tolerate that as we prepare for the National Youth Games.
"We will not accept people who want to do business the Zifa way and ensure that officials and participants are well fed during the duration of the games," she said.
